November Update

Troy thinks he has maintained. I personally don't think he gets on the scale much. As for me, I'm slowly trying to get back on track after two rollercoaster months. I lost 3.5 this month which puts my total now at 17. I would love to lose some in December but....well I guess we'll see.....October didn't work out so well and December is typically worse for me. This week we have a neighbor Christmas party, a Relief Society Christmas party, and our Christmas Cookie Party. It's a good thing I post monthly because I doubt next week will look very good. Hopefully I can stay on track. Any good advice?

Thousand Pounds

I just heard a little saying that I felt fit me to a tee. This old guy said that his wife had lost a thousand pounds. It just happend to be the same 5 lbs over and over again. If we are counting those 5 lbs, then I think I may have won! I just can't get over the 230 mark. Adam, Brett, Braydon, Jace and I hiked over 30 miles this last week and still nothing. We even carried a gun for extra weight. Mabey if we had something to run after I could have lost some weight. Just so you know where I am Kat, still at the 230 mark.

Plateau City?

No, that's not it, it's more like a roller coaster ride. This past month has been filled with ups and downs. Fortunately, the ups have not outnumbered the downs. Unfortunately, the downs barely outnumbered the ups. I only lost 1/2 a pound this month so I'm at 13.5. Pretty sad, huh? I'll try to get back on track. As for Troy, that strep throat really didn't help. He gained those four pounds right back. So, his total is back to 6 pounds. I know, we're not doing too well and the scary thing is we're heading into the bad months. Scary!

Life after almost death

After being sick and feeling like I was going to die I lost 4lbs. Now that I don't have a fever of 103 and I can eat againg I went back to 229lbs. Great to be alive though. Still excited I have finally broke the 230 mark. I've been there since I took over he A&W concept. Those burgers and rootbeer ice cream are pretty good not to mention the freshly made golden A&W Rootbeer. Hungry yet? Now you can see my problem. We just added origninal strips too. I am learning a lot of self control. I'm still 6lbs down for the record. Strips are pretty good as far as health food. Not as much breading and no skin. One of my favorite meals is crooked neck squash, red pepers, onions, jalepeno, tender roast breast, and a little butter substitute and pepper. I have really enjoyed all of this out of my garden. I also made salsa for the first time Sunday. It was pretty good for a first attempt. I kind of took a little bit from everybodies ideas and put something together. After I blended 10 small tomatoes and 5 jalepenos, from my garden, I was looking at Jackee's anunt's recepie. It said 40 tomatoes with 4 to 5 jalepenos seeded. Well, what was done was done, to little information to late. I didn't seed them either. I think I found a cure for the stuffy nose. Adam and I were the only brave souls to try it at my house so we took some to Mark's house for a second opinion. I think Mark is giving the receipe out to patients with stuffy noses now.
Write you later, just waiting for my raqetball partner. I think he went back to sleep. Mark are you there?

We All Need Strep

Well, it's time for my monthly report. I've decided strep throat isn't all that bad. Troy had it last week and lost 4 pounds which is almost as much as the 5.5 I lost the entire month. So now his total loss is 10 and mine is 13.

Troy's weight loss

Well this morning I played raquetball with Mark. I'm not sure if it was my pride or fat that I lost, but it added up to 3 lbs. Either way I'm down three. Mark killed me by the way. I decided to stay with the flow and have crook neck squash and my peppers out of my garden for lunch today. Before today I just dusted off my "Body for Life" book, and that was the extent of my exercise. Maybe I should go fishing. I heard fish is low fat! If I loose my fishing pole in Payson lake, I might have to swim a couple hundred yards or so to find it. Derek sure looks good. He's my inspiration.

Jackee's Weight Loss

I have decided to report my losses on a monthly basis. I bounce around to much to do it week to week. Hopefully by doing it monthly, it will look like something is happening. Anyway, since we came home from Bear Lake, I have lost 7.4 pounds. Troy isn't sure if he's lost any weight, but he's pretty sure he's lost some more hair. Does that count?
